I had borrowed one from a friend so I knew what I was getting. I use it for making Skype calls but I discovered it also works with my computer as a stand alone microphone. from Amazon.com I travel extensively for my job (self-employed), and use Skype as my office phone number. This is the PERFECT accessory for me. from Amazon.com If you need a basic and inexpensive Skype speakerphone, then this will do. For quality Skype conversation a headset or handset is best. from Amazon.com It definitely works and was easy to set up but my major problem was that the voice coming out was very tinny and it also was difficult to get it loud enough to properly hear over any background noise (including quite typing). So unless you want to sit in complete silence while using this, I would recommend against. from Amazon.com The device works.
