From opening the box to watching TV it was about 20 minutes, including setting up the signal in VistaMC. Works great, picture quality is good and no compatibility issues with Vista at all. from Compusa.com I bought the ATI HD600 first, but it was DOA, Tiger issued a refund, no problem! I then bought this card instead. from Tigerdirect.com I have Vista and I was able to download the Vista drivers and installed without a hitch. The software that comes with it leaves a bit to be desired but it works ok. I have other software that I use for capturing, but I use the included software to create DVD's and watch TV. I'm very happy that I selected this card! from Amazon.com After purchasing a Gateway computer with Intel Core i7 chip, I logged onto Amazon.com and located this tv tuner for installation in my new machine. Setup was a breeze, only took 10 minutes. from Amazon.com Probably the best tuner in the market (or consumer-level anyway), does indeed come with a remote, but as typically the case with OEM it does not come with ATI's tuner software. My understanding is that this software does not work with my XP-64 OS anyway, and people with a media edition OS would not need it since that functionality is built in. Currently using this with Sage TV software and a Antennas Direct Clearstream 4 antenna, great picture quality and no issues except Sage doesn't fully support the remote. There are times when supplied drivers are / can be far superior to the latest drivers from the website. Case in point with the old versions of ATI's TV tuner & All-In-Wonder Cards. If you were to have gone out & downloaded new drivers... from Amazon.com dont get this one, make sure you get the pci express (pci-e), this is the best you can get right now, this branch of ati is very good at making these products, best if used with MythTv on linux, or my favorite sorry to say, windows vista ultimate, i am actually going to buy a couple more of these so i can record three or four HD channels at once, that's what its all bout specially if your a sports fan. Make sure you have a decent system to run this bad boy, most people who complain about this product are novice pc users and usually are the ones tying up tech support hot-lines, ha. from Amazon.com first of all, you never use software that comes with any hardware or any electronics. you should always download the drivers from the website of the manufacturer instead of the cd that comes with the item. as far as using a tv tuner card, u should be using Windows Media Center on Vista Ultimate on at least 2gigs of ram, or ubuntu Linux's MythTV if you don't know what those are i suggest you google before expressing your frustrations with a product. this is the best card out there, it doesn't get any better, and the company has been around for years. from Amazon.com
