i have captured video from old vhs family tapes using an s video cable easily and without any problems at all. from Buy.com this i did on a windows xp (home) machine, windows still needed to have the software dvd inserted in order to correctly install the hardware. from Buy.com the pci card is versatile and will capture composite, s-video and digital video as well as export in those formats. from Tigerdirect.com I think this is a great kit for the price. The card and software installed with no major issues, and the analog video capture from my old camcorder works great. Captures in AVI or MPEG, and the editing software is pretty cool. from Amazon.com This item consists of the PCI card & the pinnacle software.
