We have a Le Creuset cast iron that needs a lot of scrubbing and you're not supposed to use soap!

The complaints were mostly the splattering when grilling something thick, well I can tell you that there is some but this is grilling and ther is much less clean-up than when I use our cast iron grill on the stove.

I would much prefer it if the unit had cast iron plates, but then the cost would go up, people would complain about how heavy it was, how long it took to heat up and cool down and how hard it was to clean.
