It sounds strange to rate excellent an item that had, at least in my hands, a major concern. We had this little gas grill for over 3 years. Never rusted -we never covered it but never left it in the rain either-, we never had the problem of the handle getting too hot when cooking, and the portability is fantastic. from Amazon.com As long as the lid is on it there is no flare up do to dripping grease from the burgers. It will flare up when the lid is taken off but goes right back out when put back on. Just turn the gas off before taking lid off. I also like putting hickory chips on the metal pan between burner and grill grate. from Amazon.com I was unable to assemble it since the fitting for the gas pipe did not line up with the opening where it belonged.
