It may look on line that is it not as big as some others that you can purchase but you will never notice that it has plenty of room. It is great that you can remove the cook top and wash it seperatly and you also have the choice of grill or griddle. The temperature element is very consistant and you can always trust Cuisinart. from Cooking.com This is the first Electric Grill/Griddle we have had. I thought you could set a degree temperature like 350 degrees.....however it adjusts quickly enough to the temp increase and decrease you dial it to. Always a safe bet with Cuisinart. Cuisinart sent a replacement (obviously remanufactured)and made me pay to ship my old one back. However, the probe/power supply attachment has broken 4 times, despite the fact that I have handled it with scrupulous care. Cuisinart has replaced the probe twice, but is no longer willing to do so. In spite of the fact that I have been otherwise happy with the product, I will not spend $25 to replace the probe, since it is clearly an inferior piece of equipment and is likely to break again. from Amazon.com Based on the other reviews I purchased this product. Unfortunately the product did not work out of the box. I initially tried to work with Cuisinart Customer Service but have found them to be incredibly RUDE.
