i think it is probably over kill for what i do, but i love it.clean up is a bit ackward, but my other machine with the removeable bowl was actually more difficult as it had a rubber gasket that did

when i first began researching ice cream machines i thought i should buy one with a removable bowl, as it would be easier to clean.
