I have had this machine for a few years and have used it several times. I find that not all 3 containers yield the same results in terms of the ice cream texture. from Amazon.com i purchased this for my 13-yr old daughter who really wanted some other more childish ice-cream product she had seen on tv probably. from Amazon.com the pre-chilled containers have lids that fit so the ice cream hardens throughout faster than in a tupperware container. from Amazon.com i do like the versatility of making 3 different flavors at the same time, or making ice cream and yogurt at the same time. from Amazon.com WARNING WARNING WARNING. I got this machine as a Father's day gift from my parents and I was really excited to try it. After many attempts I have never gotten Ice Cream, Milkshakes yes Ice Cream no.
