I purchased the GC8151 to make Gelato. I have used it twice with great results. from Amazon.com However it was a bit to ice crystally. Had it been stirred as it was supposed to be it probably would have resulted in a much smoother sorbet. I am now going to return my second rival ice cream maker and I think that I will try the Cuisinart because it has a much better review. from Amazon.com JUNK!! Don't buy! I paid $2.50 for the heavy cream listed to make 1.5 quarts of ice cream. Needless to say, this unit is going back. I suggest anyone looking for a good, fuss-free ice-cream maker save their money for a better model - I plan to.
