we used to own a cool mist humidifier but it was a small one holding less than a gallon and eventually "rusted" out.
(in fl we look forward to a little drop in humidity in the winter!) by january i was in desperate need for a humidifier in the bedroom at night.
quiet - so i can sleep with it on
our two year old doesn't mind it at all, he sleeps better with it i think.
after running it overnight i had one tank near empty and the other over half full.
not only is it quiet, efficient, and easy to maintain, the venta company backs up its product better than any other company.
we have a two-story house and it really has no impact on the upper level, where the bedrooms are and where you most need it.
visually it's the least obtrusive unit - the only one my daughter would allow in her room.
it's also the quietest.
it's quiet and simple.
personally, i find the unit quiet, but then i am not sleeping with it.
it is easy to clean, easy to use and, it is quiet quiet quiet, which is very important to me because i am a very light sleeper.
this is the second one of these i am purchasing this month because it works so well, my son and newly pregnant daughter-in-law guilted me into giving mine to them .
anyway, it is fast, silent, and (unlike other reviewer) i like that it beeps when it runs out of water.
it bubbles and gurgles regularly, and the unit makes a fairly loud buzz when operating.
easy to install if an initial unit.
selected the 360a after reviewing the other brands and because of the simple installation and looks.
the he360a was simple to install with the directions being very straight forward
installation was easy but much longer as mentioned in the manual.
instructions to install were easy to follow and it went well.
this product was recommended to me by a friend who uses it for her infant.
i, too, use it for my daughter, and i'm very pleased with it.
it does make a gurgling noise as the water is moved into the chamber to be processed into steam, but the noise is not overpowering.
it is a bit noisy....it's the boiling water that you hear.
the water has to move and that makes noise.
this really doesn't bother me as i only need it to run while i'm sleeping and it works really well.
i turn it on over night, and so far no bloody noses from dry sinuses.
it's quiet, efficient, and holds enough water to last overnight.
however, it's a small price to pay to get a good night's sleep.
steam is pouring out and i can't wait to use it when i go to sleep tonight because i have a bad cold.
this humidifier has an added benefit because the water is purified before one breath's the mist..i have not used it personally because i sent it as a gift to my daughter in another state..she had no
needs.on automatic, mine cycles off and on too frequently, which is annoying.so, i fill up the tank and put it on a constant speed.low with my bedroom door closed works fine for sleeping overnight.
it is now keeping a bedroom and great room at 40-45%.
it is in my bedroom and it doesn't bother my sleep and i am a light sleeper.
however on the 1, 2, 3 settings it runs continuously and the white noise is nice (to me).
it is very quiet on low setting but isn''t whisper quiet on high setting.
yes, it is a bit noisy, but it does it's job well.
the hunter's work just great...very efficient, quiet and easy to maintain.
the unit is not quiet.
does a good job of humidfing small space.
i am sleeping so much better.
not quiet.
very quiet!!
i live in a small overheated apartment.
i have a small one for the br and a large one for the downstairs.
for a couple of years we used a wick-and-fan humidifier that had plenty of capacity and ran quietly.
i guess that's so, but, it's quite nicely sized for homes smaller than that because it won't have to run on high to do the job.
that's enough to get a full night's sleep.
we feel warmer, the children cough less while sleeping, there's no static electric sparks when we touch objects or each other ...
when i think i will install a furnace mounted unit i search the internet and read the reviews and realize why i put up with this lasko cleaning routine.
this product is easy to use and works very well.with the experience i have with this product i would recommend
we have a three month old daughter who had a stuffed nose and were told by our pediatrician to get a cool mist humidifier to help.
weaknesses: water gets hot and could be a problem for small mobile children.
i use the product in the baby's room which is approx 10'x10' and it works very well so i give it 3 to 4 stars.
she loves the humidifier and it's quietness and the fact that it automatically monitors the moisture in the room and turns itself on and off.
it is quiet and does occasionally gurgle so be ready!!
"this item was purchased as a gift for my daughter in college.
very quite except for the occasional bubbling sound that sounds like your scuba diving.
my husband is a light sleeper and he can sleep with the white noise, but like our last humidifier, i have to turn the lighted part away so the glow doesn't keep him awake.
and my son doesn't seem to mind the noise from the fan as long as we keep it on low, but if i set it any higher, he says it is too loud.
this is a great silent humidifier.
i needed to replace our small vick's humidifier which was going on the fritz.
i bought it for my grandson, and he is used to white noise in the room with an air cleaner going most of the time.
the one thing they could do to make this product more user-friendly is to put a flat top on it so filling it wouldn't be so awkward (you fill it from the bottom and have to hold it the whole time
this is a good little humidifier, i guess i expected it to be a little bigger, but i should have just read the specs better.
i recently purchased the honeywell quiet care humidifier from walmart on-line.
it has three fan settings and is relatively quiet, it sounds like a regular room fan.
this is a quiet humidifier that covers over 1000 sq.
i have it next to my bed and the low hum lulls me to sleep.
works good pros: adjustable settings, energy efficient, lightweight, quiet best uses: help with ailments describe yourself: homeowner
product is extremely quiet.
at low speed you won't even know it's on and it's still quiet at med.
it's light weight and small enough to be unobtrusive.
i got this product last october 2007, and don't have the noise issue that some have complained aoubt.
good product, however amazon recommends honeywell hmp-12p quicksteam mineral absorption pad, 12 pack however honewell on the product recommend hmp-15 which are much smaller.
we have this in our sons room and it is relatively quiet.
it is slightly noisey, with a gurguling sound, but could be as loud as a fountain you may have in your house.
many people have a complaint about the noise, but i do not lose any sleep from it.
it's much quieter than other brands that i've tried in the past.
it's effective over a large area and is not too noisy.
the unit is rather noisy with the fan on high speed, but on low speed it is not obtrusive.
has made a big difference in our comfort and i've even noticed our hardwood floors aren't as contracted as they usually are during the winter.
this humidifier performs as advertised; it's very quiet and is adequate for several rooms to a moderately sized house.
not too loud for a warm mist humidifier and it doesn't make the irregular "glug, glug, glug" sounds like humidifiers with inverted tanks.
on the other side, i found it a bit noisy sometimes, but nothing that will prevent you from sleeping.
i love the fact that there's no removable tank to refill, love the carrying handle (my daughter brings the empty humidifier downstairs each morning), love the magnetic power cord.
it is easy to use, does the job superbly, and -- most importantly -- is super-easy to clean.
what sets this humidifier apart from the competition, besides the price, is the ease of use, solid structure, and durability.
the humidifier works great, but it gives more sounds..
(not that big of a deal) other thoughts: great product.
hcm-6009 is very quiet unless you have to turn it up to half-speed or greater, in which case it is about as noisy as a typical hotel air-conditioning unit and therefore somewhat disruptive to sleep.
here is another noise issue- when it starts getting empty, a loud humm starts up.
this machine is very quiet relative to the amount of humidity that it puts out (hence the filter enclosure is correspondingly more humid, and tends toward mold more easily).
i did replace the water supply line which came with the new humidifier and had to cut a larger hole in the plenum and smaller hole in the return air supply for the humidistat.
i installed the unit myself, first time cutting into duct work.
must install the humdifier controller in the return duct upstream from the fresh air intake which required rerouting my fresh air intake.
however, the installation took a little bit longer than that was suggested on the video.
Best price I could find.
