I just went to the Sears store and they had 14912 in stock and they work well. This humidifier has no problem with a 1500 sq foot Arizona dry house. I usually add maybe 4-5 gallons per day. I used to buy those little ones. from Sears.com It is very easy to fill with a bucket -- which is what we wanted. It does do a great jbb putting moisture into the air for the whole house. However, the side walls are probably 1/4 to 1/2 the thickness of my mom's old Kenmore humidifier with similar styling. Walls are very flimsy and makes me worry about durability and how long it will last. from Sears.com Both Venta and Air-O-Swiss have good reps, so I'm sure I got bum units, but, still, they didn't work right. By this time I knew I wanted an evaporative humidifier, one that wouldn't produce the dreaded "white dust" so common with mist humidifiers. To make a long story short, the Kenmore 15412 won me over. For starters, it has an adjustable humidity range from 20%-65%, so if the hygrometer is off a bit, you can adjust it accordingly. from Sears.com It is perfect as a quiet bedroom humidifier if all you need is a 30-35% humidity for health reasons. But if your goal is 40% humidity in a dry climate, you need other machines churning away in different rooms. My house is about 2700 sq ft and I have two more humidifiers in the house, 8 and 14 gallon/day outputs respectively. from Sears.com we purchased this humidifier for our twin boys bedroom and it has worked flawlessly for 6 months. from Sears.com it is also the quietest i tried, which is important to me because i use it in a bedroom.unlike another reviewer, my local store had replacement filters in stock. from Sears.com it also holds quite a bit of water and isn't too noisy when you've reached equilibrium. from Sears.com it's a little noisey though. from Sears.com i found it easy to fill, relatively quiet, and it's attractive enough in appearance that most people don't even know it's there. from Sears.com this is also much quieter than all other units of its size on the market. from Sears.com
