When I first bought this humidifier I loved it. It was quiet and easier to clean than most humidifiers. But over a few months, it started leaking water and didn't emit a very strong mist. It was still under warranty, so I mailed it to Sunpentown. from Amazon.com I've had this unit for 6 months now and for the price you can't really beat it. My mother has the Air-O-Swiss AOS Ultrasonic Humidifier which was $150 and she's not happy with it at all. Relatively quit, no filters to worry about and nice water capacity last about 24 hours. I was really surprised at the amount of mist it produces. Most humidifiers have a relatively short life span of only a year or two. This is the best reasonably priced ultrasonic humidifier I could find. It isn't ugly, it is very effective over a wide range of settings, and quiet, at least until the low-water alarm goes off, which is easily avoided by keeping an eye on how full the tank is. from Amazon.com I use it in the office with spring water (delivered) so i have no need to clean the tank after three full month usage. It does not make any furniture wet. It's labeled as a cool mist, but the mist is not exactly cool or cold, it is a room t*.
