We've had a couple of these humidifiers (panda & frog) for about two years now. I thought that they were doing something until I bought a hygrometer (measures humidity level). from Amazon.com My son has typical winter colds and we've been using Vicks cool humidifier. It was an invisible mist that never quite settled right with me. We always needed to replace the filter within a few weeks/a month. Since we run our humidifer every night, year round- we decided to do some research and see what other options are out there. from Amazon.com I bought two of these humidifiers for my toddler's rooms. I got the elephant and the dragon models. from Amazon.com I bought 2 humidifiers from Crane, first the Penguin, then this cow. Quality-wise, the cow is better than the penguin, the finish on the water tank feels sturdier and more polished. from Amazon.com We bought this humidifier for our nursery because it had many good reviews, but after reading the instruction packet, we decided to take it back without even using it. The reason: it is not supposed to be put on anything that could be damaged by water (wood, metal, etc.) and cannot be placed on a towel because the fan is on the bottom. from Amazon.com My son came down with a cold and was very congested.
