i went with a sony strdg 820($360@bb, polk speakers (amazon) ...tsi100 x4 + cs10 + rear t15+ csw10 - i saved $134.

i then purchased 2 more polk speakers to make the system a 7:1 channel system and added new speaker stands and 2 wall hangers to complete the system.

i was looking for a bar system and had almost pulled the trigger on the mega expensive polk audio system that would have cost over $1000.

this system, unlike the more-expensive yamaha and polk soundbars, does not "bounce" sound off of walls using digital projection.

also, would like to mention that i bought polk 360 surroundbar at the same time but eventually ended up returning it, because it did not have any hdmi inputs whereas sony has 3 hdmi inputs.
