the available option to allow audio out through the tv's speakers while the hdmi-connected receiver is at 'standby' is very useful when all we want to check is the news or weather in the morning.

the hdmi switching is very nice and the hdmi pass-through is a plus (mother in-law can just turn on the tv and watch).

through of the signal when the unit is off this unit has allowed me to decrease the number of cables ive had strung to 1 hdmi cable from each piece into the reciever and 1 hdmi cable out to my tv.
