i was lucky to discover an optical out port on my cox cable box hidden next to the component a/v connections to my tv, so i tried connecting that to the sat optical input on the ct-100.

i discovered the reason for the picture to cut out, then flicker back on a few minutes later, then out again was because of loose connections on the back of the sub-woofer.
