This is a great receiver. Set-up was a breeze (except for the universal remote). from Crutchfield.com I am very pleased with the performance. It produces more than enough clean power to drive the 6 speaker system I have. In fact I upgraded my front speakers after I got the receiver and now have a decent home theater setup by any standards. My only negatives are with the manual and remote. from Crutchfield.com So this is the first receiver that I have ever purchased and the sound is amazing (it is paired with Klipsch B-3 and S-3). The only reason that I did not give it 5 stars (and it is my own fault) is because it does not have an A/B speaker set. from Amazon.com I'm fairly impressed with the yamaha V465 as an entry level receiver. For $350, you will be hard pressed to find a better unit. This receiver really delivers!! Being a complete newbie to HD audio, I thought this would be enough. Originally I had all my devices (HDMI) connected to my 37" Samsung TV with a single TOSLINK from the TV back to the receiver.
