Recently hooked this sound bar up to an older Samsung DLP TV, Motorola cable box, and Sony DVD player in a family room. We did not need a full sized Surround Sound system as we already have that in our basement and my wife did not want speakers and another home theater receiver upstairs. from Amazon.com Overall the Sony HTCT 100 is a great find and a good value. It comes well packaged with multiple choices of cables and easy to follow instructions. from Amazon.com Nice feature that surprised me is that you can have the Ipod audio playing on the speakers while digital cable video is playing on the TV. Cool if your partying and want music and a game on or something. Also got my Comcast remote to control the volume and power on/off on the Sony. The only thing that irks me is that instead of including a standard USB port in the back so I can hook up my iPod, Sony put their proprietary DM Port thingy. I then started reading the instruction manual and found that you can control the decibel level of the center channel & subwoofer. from Amazon.com The PS3 puts out way more volume. Setting it to PCM audio was my way of getting the most volume I could out of it. Would've loved if the remote worked with my Sony TV as well, and it did for 10 minutes, then it never took control of the TV again. Overall, I'm satisfied. from Amazon.com
