I have the HTS3544 which is basically the same system. from Amazon.com I didn't waste any more time, immediately took it back and got a refund. Considered exchanging it for the same model, but didn't want to take the chance, given the high percentage of reviews that had the same problem. Most of the reviews that had units that wouldn't power up were the other Philips model, the HTS3555, but apparently the HTS3544 has the same problem. I recently started watching a lot of TV shows online, and many of them are in DivX format. The Philips HTS3544 allows me the freedom to burn the shows I download onto a DVD and watch them on my TV screen. The included quick start guide was enough for me to get started with the install. My experience and skill level is probably average, this being the 2nd HTS I have set-up.
