The system sounds great, is relatively cheap and has two optical audio connections (which allows for 4 components to be hooked up this way given splitters). I gave it 4 out of 5 stars b/c it didn't come with wall mounts (I was scrounging through spare screws) and, although you can hook your video through it to the TV, it only passes through 720p. from Abt.com I have had this system for about 5-months now, married with a 46' Sony 1080 display and Blu Ray player. I also added a Sony digital media player for my Ipod that plugs right into the back of the receiver. from Amazon.com i couldn't be more happy with this purchase, it loud and clear... the only con i can find is that the hdmi connection is a pass-thru, so for an example if you connect your xbox 360 using the hdmi connection u will have to buy an adapter so you can connect the optic audio cable and get digital sound (it is worth it)... from Amazon.com I researched at length for a home theater system that I could plug all my components into. You can't find this great of a product for the price anywhere else. I have my Directv hooked up via HDMI and optical digital audio and both my Nintendo Wii and Xbox 360 hooked up via component and there are still more inputs/outputs than I know what to do with. The system sounds great but I'm not an audiophile. I replaced the cheap speaker wire it came with 16 gage wire and it seemed to make a signficant difference. I have to turn the volume up to 55 (70 is the max) during a movie to fill the room, my room size is 18 x 18. from Amazon.com I bought this system from Amazon.com and I love it. My house was pre-wired for surround sound, so no crappy wires running across the floor! Whoever says this system sucks and is quiet, either has bad ears, or a crappy component putting out the sound. I have a fairly cheap rca dvd recorder that plays dolby digital surround sound that makes you feel like you're in the movie with this system. from Amazon.com
