we had an older panasonic surround system and this one far exceeds it.
this is a sleek looking system and paired with my panasonic plasma tv gives a neat compact look to the home theater.
this system has a lot of value for the money, and especially makes sense if you have a panasonic hdtv with "ezsync", which integrates the hdtv and home theater system very well.
yes, even i could figure out how to hook up this system to my new 42" panasonic hdtv.
'music' or 'off 'surround modes)decent sound, nice picture on the upconvert, but overall felt cheap (plastic used, speakers/remote not nearly as nice as past panasonic home theater model i owned).
The Panasonic rep I talked to had no idea about the unit or how to upload from my Windows Media Player to the unit.
This hard-drive system of Panasonic's may be an interesting concept, but it has too many bugs to be worked out.
I hope Panasonic is going to come out with a fix soon.
I really hope panasonic will have a software patch to fix this problem.
I called the Panasonic help line and once I got a human the service was acceptable, a technician told me to unplug the unit then plug it back in while holding down the power button to reset it,
I've never been able to sync it to mt Panasonic plasma TV.
one suggestion to panasonic though, for future products with the carousel, highlight the numbers with a bright color so the consumer can see which slot the dvd is going in.
to me that is a good value and i highly recommend this great product from panasonic.
overall, i really enjoy the use of my panasonic sound system.
after reviewing cnet and consumer reports for their recommendations, i settled on the panasonic sc-ht440 home theater system.
panasonic has always worked fantastic for me in the past.
