i use these as front speakers, a sony sscn5000 as my center speaker, and sony ssb1000's for the rear speakers with an older jvc rx-517v and an off-brand subwoofer.

ill eventually upgrade my rear surrounds to either the ssb3000 essentially the bookshelf version of these speakers - or the ssb1000 and my center channel to the matching sony center channel as well
