Best Home Theater Speakers for Midrange

tight bass, full mid range & highs.

overall the system sounds good with clean mid-range and highs, but the sub-woofer is somewhat lacking.

a small complaint i have is that in guitar heavy, metal music such as metallica, the mid-range can get a bit muddy.

say what you will about the altec lansing's downward firing mid-range, they have a very rich sound and full mid-range that most other speakers lack.

it has a very smooth mid-range and tweeter and more thump from the sub woofer than expected.

each of the speakers contains a 3" mid-range speaker and a " tweeter giving a superb well rounded sound that many speakers don't have.

the mid range woofers are slightly less than 5 inches and made of hop.

pros: $50/pair, decent sound quality, excellent presencenice highs and mid-range

but what i feel it is most lacking is the mid-range, which sounds very indistinct and muddy.

the mid-range is very smooth.
