hd tv, dolby digital 5.1 movies, and ps3 games have been raised to a new level with this system.
waiting to try with true hd.
early this month i bought a new yamaha receiver 7.1 hdmi, etc.
just bought these speakers and the sound coming from them(with a ps3, hdmi set up, 46' lcd, capable of lossless audio and 7.1 surround sound) is just unbelievabe, clear crisp sound, im loving them.
works well with a yamaha htr-6160 a/v receiver, and a samsung ln46a750 lcd hdtv.
bought this system and had it installed with our vizio hdtv and sony bravia receiver.
i wanted to go with one that would offer me the latest in audio formats from blue ray and hddvd movies as well as hdmi input/switching.
ive been big into the hd scene for a few years now, and never payed much attention to audio.
the speakers sound great with my hd dvd and blu-ray players.
using these with my onkyo 705 reciever and toshiba a35 hd-dvd player and the sound is fantastic.
the sound field produced is amazing for clarity and balance and with a proper avr & hd player; the wife & i are never going to the cinema again!
i am currently using them as my front left and right channels, pumping 100w though a new denon hd receiver and they do not disappoint.
these are being fed signals from a ps3 into a yamaha rx-v463 via hdmi.
if you use hdmi cables, be sure to read thoroughly all of the instructions for the receiver and the dvd player.
i matched it with the sonystrdg720 amp with the three hdmi inputs for my two game machines & cable tv.
it works great and i have enjoyed watching dvds on my hd tv more now than before.
old hitachi hdtv, panasonic dvd recorder, and a xbox 360, all run by a sony str-dg510 receiver.
i have a sony large screen hdtv and wanted to add base to the native speakers.
if you have hd service, it's the best way to test your new sub.
being tall and narrow the satellite speakers are the perfect shape to velcro to the side of the hdtv i use for a computer monitor.
i have a set up where my laptop plays on the hd tv and the sound (this system) is hooked up to the laptop for sound.
i purchased these boston acoustic speakers for a different reason than most would: to improve on the pathetic built-in audio of an hdtv set.
when i watch anything in hd, it sounds absolutely fantastic.
i just got an hdtv and hook them up to it.
sony is having lots of trouble these days--from making a competitive hdtv set in the face of samsung's domination to alienating an international customer base by encoding cds with a virus capable of
one pair i have in our sitting room, connected to a stereo 70 watt/channel receiver, to output audio from our 37" hdtv.
fills up my room and do pretty well in blu ray/hd dvd movies.
over a year ago i upgraded to a samsung lcd screen television, so i had to scrap the 6 disc dvd player that came with the sony speaker set to get a sony receiver with hdmi connections for my
i've played blu-ray movies on them and heard dts-hd ma, dolby truehd, and pcm sound.
believe it or not, i had never owned a powered subwoofer until i purchased the "onkyo swk204" after researching what i might need to complete my sound system after adding a new panasonic plasma hdtv,
it handles very well the low ranges encountered in movie soundtracks, as well as 5.1 surround satellite hdtv programs.
this sub was the last component and brings all the others together into one.be it dvd, music or hd tv the sound is more than what i paid for.get this one while you can if purchasing at best buy.
the stereo has never sounded so good and movies take on a whole new dimensions in hdtv and even in non-hdtv with this sub.
i was impressed by the sound, i popped in transformers hd dvd and when i got to the menu i immediately had to lower the levels.
