even mp3's sound great with these.
not the best match for a flat panel or wall mounted system, and they are probably too deep to fit on most wall-mounted shelves.
pros: sound quality, solid construction, attractive design.
if you are going for wall shaking bass add a sub to the mix.
Moreover, speakers are small.
Outer box was destroyed causing the inner Klipsch box some serious damage.
I will likely get other klipsch speakers to round it out inside.
Finally, Klipsch arrived from Amazon.com via FedEx.
I have owned klipsch speakers for 25 years; they have their own unique sound, because of the horn loaded compression drivers used on all their products; great for a medium to small room; I matched these to an onkyo 2 channel amp and onkyo 6 disc play...
I returned them for a pair of these B-3 speakers at the same price point.
Got this sub just a few days ago to replace a JBL PB10 - the difference is night and day.

the fact of living in a small apartment has forced me to search for small size subwoofer.
This is a very nice subwoofer for the price.
After some deliberation, I decided to buy this on Amazon rather than a couple of Polk's 10-inch versions.
Check out the Polk DSW microPRO 1000 or 2000.
this is great for the home surround sound and the bass sound is excellent by giving enough bass but yet it wont rattle the windows .
i like the size of the subwoofer as it fits in the limited space i have for it.
i just tried it out with my new 'pink floyd at the berlin wall' dvd.
sounds good"!
easy to use.
Works perfectly in a 5.1 or 7.1 system in smaller rooms with a ProSub 800 and ProCenter 1000.

I bought this unit for my first home theater setup, though I don't have any other subwoofer experience to compare to, I'd say this is a great unit.
I have recently become a "Pro Boston Acoustics" individual!
I've owned Boston Acoustics speakers of various types for over 10 years now.
THE NUCLEAR BOMB OF SUBWOOFERS!!!!
-- not sure if everything is set up correctly) is that i have received some feedback from it with high pitched sounds (car engine's revving etc.) other than that, i love this center channel speaker.
i replaced the small center channel that came with the surround sound system i was given as a gift with this sscn5000, and was floored.
i started with the onkyo tx-sr 750 to put together a nice surround sound system, then added the sony sb3000 front - sb1000 rear, sa-w2500 sub and the ssc-n5000 and have a nice system for an apartment.
i have two surround sound systems.
i love it it just to long to get to me three weeks from fedex to the usps that was time costing and i almost missed the mail lady.it sounds great and it is bigger than i expected and the look of it
knowing that out of the box is not a speakers true sound, i loaded up the cd carousel and let it go at moderate volume.
this sub would probably be great in a very small home theater in a small room.
the only thing that separated its sound quality from a $500+ sub is that, it's low end could be a hair lower.
Audio response very good.
I , bought the polk sub with the monitor series frt and rear thinking I should match brands.

in a small to medium sized room it will shake the walls!

I added these to my Yamaha system, they are now my front 2 speakers replacing a pair of old cvegas.
Buy the Infinity Primus series speakers & add an Onkyo receiver, a touch of HDTV/surround & you are DONE!
Don't let others tell you that you NEED a sub for these speakers to sound good.
these are a good value, eventhough thare are not alot of reviews for these speakers, just read the reviews about the p162 bookshelfs and you can get a good idea what these are about.
I think a 2-way speaker system is a better way to go, than 3-way.
Fantastic sound, you won't be upset with this purchase!!
I am very pleased with the sound quality and very happy with how they look.
I purchased these speakers about a month ago with a Denon receiver and they are definitely worth the price.
I'm no audio/stereophile, but these speakers sound great in my small-medium sized room.
I was skeptical spending $600+ without hearing them and went to the local best buy where I could listen to both.
so long as you have a room with a good back wall and at least one sidewall, it will deliver incredibly good 5.1 surround sound.
my landlord wouldn't appreciate me drilling holes in his floor or walls to run speaker wire.(no sense of humor).
no need for hole in walls or running wires to build out your home theater and the sound is amazing.
great solution to surround sound when you don't want a complex installation or are unable to run wires to surround speakers.
surround sound.
These work perfectly in smaller rooms with a ProSub 800 and a ProCenter 1000.
I have these matched with Def Tech Studio Monitor 350s.
A neighbor of mine has the Definitive Tech.
After hearing many items from Klipsch, Polk, Infinity, Mirage, Bose (boo)....the clear choice was this ProCenter 1000.
Definitive Technology speakers are critically acclaimed for their value and performance.
If you are running a subwoofer than these are perfect and have much more midrange than the RTi A7's for half the cost.
I am very pleased with these speakers.
I bought a pair of RTIa5's to use as left and right front speakers in my home theater.

This big dogs shakes my house.
Perfect in 5.1 or 7.1 systems when used with 4 or 6 ProMonitor 800 speakers and a ProCenter 1000 speaker.
I tested everything from definitive tech, phase tech, mirage, klipsch, polk, and many others and this sub fit the bill in both size and sound quality for my 17x13 room.
I'm very satisfied with the sound and functionality of the Definitive sub.
Sooo I finally just stepped it up and spent the extra buck (and came across a deal) to go to the Definitive Tech ProSub 800.
The sub-woofer is excellent, as stated elsewhere, but at first I received a defective one.
