I use the Purities in a 4.1 HDTV set up in a 13X18 bedroom. The sub is a Martin Logan Grotto. from Amazon.com They're about 2 feet from the back and side wall with 8ft between them both. My receiver is a Pioneer elite SC-05. The Purity's and Abyss (martin Logan# are connecting to the pre-outs.
