They're smooth top to bottom and very accurate with a pleasing, open sound. People won't gasp in envy over the cosmetics, but when you fire 'em up they certainly will. These were my first set of Infinitys and these are gonna stick around the house for some time, I think. I have much more expensive bookshelfs and though they are not their equal in terms of detail and imaging, I always go back to listen to them time and again. from Crutchfield.com I bought a pair of 152s to serve as rear speakers in my surround sound setup. For the money, it is hard to beat them. They blend in perfectly with my other Infinity Primus speakers and handle the info sent to the rear channels very well.
