I bought the IQ7s about 2 months ago after reading many good things about them on the net. I didn't audition them, so it's my fault I bought a pair of speakers I hate. from Amazon.com These speakers sound great and look gorgeous. Their non-boxy elliptical shape, beautiful dark apple veneer finish and less-imposing size then the typical towers of similar audio quality provided the all-important WAF (wife-acceptance-factor) for me. They have ample bass (down to 38Hz), so I don't need a separate subwoofer, which was also important in this household. from Amazon.com I read reviews about KEF speakers on many Web sites and they had very good review. the price on amazon looked very reasonable,so i bought these. from Amazon.com I have allways loved KEF speakers. I also went into circuit city to listen to some speakers. I liked the clarity on the KEF iQ7's more than the few brands I listened to at circuit city. I originally heard a pair of iQ5s and was impressed with their dispersion and soundstaging - these iQ7s are one step up and they put out a very wide and deep soundstage with excellent clarity.
