before when playing rock band2 i'd set the reciever to 35 to get things nice and loud(which didn't sound great), but with these sony speaker just at it crank it upto 25 and it was loouud.

for the price you cant go wrong, ive never been a big fan of sony due to complications to a receiver i purchased awhile back but these speakers make up for it.

i use these as front speakers, a sony sscn5000 as my center speaker, and sony ssb1000's for the rear speakers with an older jvc rx-517v and an off-brand subwoofer.

these speackers are great the being ran by my sony 500 watt reciever in my small room with my dual 120 watt subwoofer and i got to say that they are very powerful.

from a small box, i wasn't sure about getting these babys or the polks for 70 bucks more, so i risked it and got the sony's i've read reviews saying that they dont have bass!
