Best Sony Home Theater Speakers for Thump

sa-w2500 is not a 150w, it is a 100w subwoofer (as specified by sony's red label on the device).

good: i compared it to my polk sub in my home theater system and the little sony helds it's own.

i got it set at 50 hz and gain at maximum and amp at -6 db its perfect i have 12 inch 3 ways for fronts and sides 'technics' and sony tallboy speakers 4 rear.

i owned the sony sw-500 which was 12' and 150w, and it definitely outshined this sub, but it also cost twice as much.

i just bought one today,brought it home and hooked it up right away.i have a sony mini hi fi stero w\5.1 surround and it pushes 250 watts.well,after i turned it on and cranked it up i realized this

sure, you may be able to get a more powerful sounding sub, but you'll end up paying much more for it than the sony.instalation was easy, and making the proper adjustments to the volume and cut-off

i had a bose system that was destroyed in the hurricanes a couple of years ago and replaced it with sony components and my old bose bookshelf and ceiling speakers and sounds the same to me.

as far as price, it was less than what i had paid for my old sony eight years ago, so i am not complaining (on sale for $169.99).

for the price you cant go wrong, ive never been a big fan of sony due to complications to a receiver i purchased awhile back but these speakers make up for it.

good for games, movies, and even tv.the bass is there and better then the subwoofer that i commented on from sony but still a good floor speaker.

i use these as front speakers, a sony sscn5000 as my center speaker, and sony ssb1000's for the rear speakers with an older jvc rx-517v and an off-brand subwoofer.

these speackers are great the being ran by my sony 500 watt reciever in my small room with my dual 120 watt subwoofer and i got to say that they are very powerful.

don't let there size fool you they pack a real punch great job sony another solid product for a good price.

if you like alot of bass then get the sony sub-woofer model sa-w3000 to go with them sony sa-w3000 performance line 200 watt subwoofer.

i wasn't looking for earth shattering bass(have a sub for that), what i got was a good speaker that handled mids and high perfectly.i plan on getting the sony center channel to replace my aging sony

from a small box, i wasn't sure about getting these babys or the polks for 70 bucks more, so i risked it and got the sony's i've read reviews saying that they dont have bass!
