we still use the highchair (daughter is 19 months old now) but we don't put the tray so close to her which means food will more than likely get in her lap and in the chair.
sturdy, uses screws to put together, very easy to clean just wipe down not made of cloth so makes it even easier to wipe off, son loves the toy, perfect entertainer while im getting his food ready.
adjustable height, easy to clean, seperate food tray, colorful for baby with toy included...pretty much says it all, plus our baby loves it!
the toy that attach's doesn't clean so well if food is left on it.
it keeps him entertained while i'm getting his food ready and while i'm cleaning up afterwards.
these are easy to clean, catch the spills and falling food (or at least most of it).
all of the food that misses his mouth goes in the wide pouch, not all around his body making it disgusting to clean up.
i am buying more to give to my friends that are having babies because it works so great and catches all the food that drops out of their mouths!
this is the best bib ever, our 2 year old toddler loves it, we love it, keeps the food that does not quite make it into the mouth from hitting the floor very well....i recommend it
it catches all of the food, and washes easily.
cleans up very easily, the toys are great while your preparing food,,etc..
i was very happy with this product my baby loves it and its wonderful i can fix his food while he is busy playing.
we're more than happy with this chair - it is well constructed, easy to put together, and holds our 6 month old baby quite snugly while he flings food around!
well it finally came time to start incorporating solids (i.e., rice cereal, baby food) into our baby's diet.
often times she wants to open and put it in her mouth instead of food.
my only complaint is that there is a huge gap between the table and chair and my son drags the food towards him (not old/able enough to use a plate/bowl), so half of it ends up on the floor (or on
also, as he is still developing his fine motor skills, food would fall between the metal bar and the countertop as he tried to pick food up by sliding it up against something.
the new ones do not have the table pad with it, which is too bad because you always had a clean surface for food.
other high chair models, but some had too much fofo stuff or had too many parts, others were nice, but too hard to clean (that alone was a big concern, seeing that she will be discovering foods).
it takes them a few days to get used to having no tray, we had a lot of food on the floor the first couple days.
a few disadvantages: food can fall between the table and the metal bar on the chair.
we constantly had to take the cushion off to clean it since food would get trapped in the nooks of the seat...and if the cushion was in the wash you could not use the high chair.
food was stuck in every crevice and forget being able to get it out.
baby can reach his food and sit up.
also, despite food spills, bouncing, kicking and rough treatment with utensils, we can't find any scratches or wear to the finish.
it is easy to detach and throw in the washer, but i have not had to so far because the dried-on food comes right off with a damp rag.
anyway, and the tray is constructed in 2 pieces so that there is a seam which ends up packed with baby food...overall though, i'll suffer that for the price and engineering on the rest of the chair.
the only bad part is that the tray has a seam that faces in towards our son and food gets caught in there and it's hard to get it out.
after doing tons of research i finally decided on this chair over the peg perego because of the washable seat cover and the adjustable tray (he doesn't slouch and lose tons of food down there like my
i also used it in the recline to give bottles before the babies were sitting up and eating food.
she loves to recline and watch me cook her food.
my daughter now can sit up and reach the table...less food on the floor!!!!she refused to use a booster chair or booster seat...she is too old for that at age 4.
kaboost is the perfect solution and she sits in comfort and can reach her food!
and i don't have to worry about cleaning the booster seat anymore, with all those holes and places food could fall into, who wants to deal with that???
they still have not learned the stay still to eat thing so we get food on the floor.
the primary negative for me is that the tray doesn't push in as close to the baby as i would like it too, and therefore the food that baby is learning to pick up and eat drops easily into the chair
the graco contempo high chair is so versatile, you will be using it long before your child can even eat solid foods.
but still love the chair and the reclining feature comes in handy for my baby who likes to have a bottle after his food.
if i give her something she doesnt like and she starts throwing it on the floor i can snatch off the top tray and move on to the next food item with missing a beat.
i like that the child sits closer to the tray than the peg perego, since that was my major complaint with that chair (food was always in his lap, and tray was too high and far away).
i love the little slide out parent tray for a baby food jar and my husband said it was very easy to put together.
i washed mine when i noticed some food had fallen down the side and dried onto the fabric backing.
it has a lip it fits under and our messy toddler gets food under there all the time.
the pull-out "parent organizer tray" is handy to keep baby food on as you are feeding, but is a little small for some bowls and things (if that matters to you).
and it has a handy little food holder!!
this enables you to put little pieces of food into each section as finger food, so that it doesn't all mesh together, which i thought was a clever idea.
i enjoy it much more then the others i've had, it's easier to clean and it has a cute "parent tray" to store the jars of food while i am feeding her.
the slide out "compartment" could have standed to be a little bigger, it really only holds baby food, not the bowls too well, but still handy.
i live that the cover is easy to wipe off and the removable plastic tray inside the tray is great for my daughter to learn to pick up her foods and not get the bottom tray so dirty.
i also love the fact that it is easy to clean and they are hardly any small spaces that food can get caught into.
there are two recling positions- the leaning back position works best for feeding a bottle and the straight position is for feeding solid food.
my son can hold his own bottle so i can recline him after he eats his food and then give him his bottle while i get things done.
the extra-wide tray is a real plus: it keeps food from flying in all directions, wipes down very easily, and fits right into the dishwasher.
it keeps all the little cracks and openings covered so food can't get under it.
this one is very easy to clean and keeps food out from under.
the only downside is that the tray is so far away from the seat that food falls onto my baby's lap rather than back on the tray.
we have a suction toy stuck to it, so that our boy has something to play with while we are preparing his food.
then when she graduated to solid foods it fit her really well.
the vinyl pad is easily cleaned, and the base is solid (no cracks for food to go into).
just some food for thought...if you have nice chairs, and an active toddler (i.e.
that means a year's worth of food is now stuck between the cracks because once you put it together it does not come back apart for cleaning.
(it is harder to see if there's food left in his mouth though, if he's willing to open up.)
i do not use the highchairs provided by restaurants because my children are stuck out in the isle with trays of food being carried over their heads (very unsafe), people bumping into them to get by,
our 11mo son loves to sit at the table with us and eat our food/be part of the family.
bad points: i like the grippy hippos but find that food gets stuck under the hippo grips and in the creases of the hippos - not a huge deal but it does mean that i have to losen the chair and wash
when my second son started solid foods i propped him up in the seat with some rolled up towels and it worked great.
