a co-worker recommended this chair...her son is 7 years old and still uses it as his chair at the kitchen table.
i purchased this chair when my son was 6 months old, and i found that it is not only a great place for him to eat, but it's also a great place for him to sit safely while i'm doing housework or
it also looks very nice in our dining room/kitchen.
it matches with my kitchen table and chairs (i got the red pillow) and although smaller than i thought it would be, i can leave the table top on and slip my baby right in and buckle him up.
not only does it look great in my kitchen, but it has served my daughter soooo well.
my child is able to dislodge the white, dishwasher safe tray from the blue tray it snaps down upon, which can be annoying, but i can't really blame the product for my child's stubborn persistency,
no need to clutter up your kitchen with another obtrusive and clunky baby item if you have a free chair to attach it to.
it is lightweight, easy to fold down and and carry with you, easy to clean, and straps nicely and safely into almost any kitchen chair.
i just strap this tightly to my kitchen chair and if i need the chair i can take it apart and put it away...no big bulky high chair taking up room in my kitchen!
it's attaches to your typical chair and fits under our kitchen table when we are through with it.
the only feature i really don't like about this bib is that it's an awkward fit on our daughter with the particular high-chair we use (safety first space-saver high chair).
it is easily washed in the sink and is also dishwasher safe.
top shelf, dishwasher safe - these bibs are the best i have found, they catch the food, are easy to put on and when the baby is one and wants to tear it off they can't because of the ingenious
* made of soft plastic, top rack dishwasher safe, and easily rinsable in the sink
2) dishwasher safe.
large high chairs are always in the way, and we have a large kitchen so it isn't merely a square footage issue.
we love using it in restaurants because the little wooden high chairs they provide there tend to be both icky and unsafe.
i was really anxious to get rid of our old highchair because it had been through three kids and i was sick of having to move it around the kitchen to sweep underneath.
i attached this to the edge of our kitchen table and it locks down totally tight and secure.
it's much more compact than the highchair, and my son loves sitting up at the kitchen counter and watching the action.
since she is a terrible eater, we love that it has a strap so that she has to stay with us for a least a few minutes and it's a great safety feature too.
they can both climb in and out by themselves safely.
we dont have much space in our dining room or kitchen, so this feature has been fantastic.
if what you are looking for in a high chair is a piece of furniture that will fit in with the rest of your dining room or kitchen instead of another plastic monster lurking about your house, the svan
it goes well with our kitchen furniture.
we leave it in the same spot hooked up to the kitchen counter and it never gets in the way.
i still can place her in this chair if i need time to cook or clean, she loves reading books or playing with kitchen utensils.
the chair is sturdy and safe.
our daughter feels comfortable in it (i base that on the fact that she sits there and eats and doesn't cry when we put her in) and it's not big or bulky so it fits nicely in our smaller kitchen space.
i got this for my toddler to eat on the kitchen counter (a little short for that) and we love it.
it was a nice touch to include the toy kitchen utensils in the package.
it's a pretty dark wood, matches our table, and has a snug strap to keep my boy safe.
it is a great product though the only complaint is the toy which has really no affect with high chair its self:) if you are looking for a safe and fun high chair then this is what you should get!
it keeps him entertained while i work in the kitchen.
this highchair is so easy to use, safety harness makes it nice for children that aren't real secure at sitting up alone, yet can be taken to just a lap belt as he/she gets older.
the device is also attached so it can't be dropped (or thrown).we are very happy with the bright colors, it is extremely well designed from a safety aspect as well.
my only complaint is there is little room between her belly and the tray, and it smashes the safety strap buckle/clasp into her belly when i slide food or toys to her.
if you use the straps the child will safely stay in the chair.
happy with the chair, love that it folds up so small so it's not a permanent obtrusion in the kitchen.
it has all the features you would need in a high chair: multiple height and recline adjustments, 5 star harness, easy to clean vinyl seat and multiple dishwasher-safe trays.
it fits perfecty at a kitchen table as well.
the pattern is very nice, so that it blends well with our dark tones in the kitchen.
it rolls easily from kitchen to dining area, and has 2 bars on the back to hang the tray and any bibs or towels, when not in use.
customer service had told me then this was not a common problem and that even with a screw missing, highchair was safe to use, not dangerous.
not the same screw that caused the magestic recall, but a similar problem, as far as baby/ child safety.
we also had a booster seat with a tray that attaches to a regular chair for around $25 to accomodate the time when we needed the tray -- like self feedings in the middle of the kitchen or outside.
i can't talk about how often i have really needed to set my son in a high chair in the kitchen while i get dinner ready or straightn up.
i don't know how this chair has passed so many safety standards.
what's worse is the safety strap that's built into the seat back.
she can get into and out of it herself, can use it in the kitchen to see the countertop better, can put stickers on it if she wants, and, bonus for us, it tucks in very nicely at the table so it fits
we also liked the wood finish, which looks a lot nicer in the kitchen -- in other words, it doesn't look like a giant plastic toy.
i wanted a chair that would look great in the kitchen and dining room.
i was looking for a counter height chair to be used at our kitchen island.
the seat bottom is about 2 inches below the level of our kitchen table!
even though it says safe for dishwasher, i just wash by hand.
the safety belt, which you can't see in the photos, provides some extra security.
i do not use the highchairs provided by restaurants because my children are stuck out in the isle with trays of food being carried over their heads (very unsafe), people bumping into them to get by,
pros: lightweight, compact, sturdy, safe
we love this high chair, it is not too big and bulky, fits well in our kitchen and is easy to use and easy to clean.
this high chair is very handy, easy to wheel the baby around the kitchen, has an easy to remove and clean tray, i can't say enough about it.
the design is also nice and blends in to our kitchen, unlike some of the other chairs that i looked at with 'loud' designs and prints.
the locks on the rollers are a nice safety feature and work well.
it may be dishwasher safe but it is too big to utilize the feature.
the tray is easy to clean, and it's nice that it is dishwasher safe (but it doesn't fit in my dishwasher).
the 5 points safety harnesses have to be adjusted at the lowest slits at the back of the chair and have to be shortened to the maximum possible.
also if you do use the safety harness straps, they are very hard to clean!
secondly, the tray "covers" may be dishwasher safe, but they do not fit in my average size dishwasher.
when we first put our baby in it, she would slide out, so i bought this to help hold her in more safely.
