Tan would've also been a good neutral choice. The white one has a black trim around the top that doesn't show that well online so I thought I'd mention that. My baby is 6 months and big for his age and this chair seems big for him, so he will fit in it for a long time. My 2 older kids ages 6 and 4 both fit in it.
The chair comes almost fully assembled, my husband only had to put the casters in. It’s light, simple, nice looking and seems well constructed and sturdy. My baby seems very comfortable in it although right now it’s too big for him (he’s only 5.5 months old). We haven’t used the tray for that reason.
My daughter is 13 months and she loves it though. She made a crazy mess in it with her b-day cake and it washed up great. It should definitely fit any baby well into toddlerhood.
We've tried out about every brand of high chair. Given our desires in a high chair this one has been the best so far, and at a reasonable price. Pros: It has an easy to use, one handed tray removal with a nice size snap on dish-washable tray; attractive leatherette cover is easy to clean; rolls smoothly; folds compactly and is very sturdy. Cons: Only one...
This high chair is terrible. The tray was too high so my son could not easily eat finger foods from the tray (and he is a really tall baby), the tray is too far from the back of the seat so all the food would fall into the chair, the harness is really difficult to adjust, the tray is too heavy, and the seat pad can only be dry cleaned! I bought this chair based on the recommendation in the Baby Bargains book and because it looked "stylish." I was so frustrated with it after just a few weeks that I got rid of it and replaced it with the Fisher Price Healthy Care Rainforset High Chair which has turned out to be a great high chair.
I hate this highchair and it is too late for me to return it! By the time I actually used it (when my baby was 4 months old), it was past the return time at Babies R Us. The only thing I like about it is its ability to fold up; I have a small house so that feature is great.
I can't ever seem to get it clean enough with spot cleaning, and have resorted to putting a towel over the entire seat so that I won't have to spend so much time scrubbing the (not easily washable) material. 3. The part of the tray that faces the baby has a seam that always traps food, and is a pain to clean. (Probably because the tray is so high).
Our friends purchased a FisherPrice - Easy Fold and that seems to be more appropriately sized. Also, the cover says not to machine wash... obviously a stupid restriction for a baby high chair cover.
We even used it occasionally as an easy chair in the living room. It folds up very easily and quickly, and can be rolled on its casters in either the folded or open position. I never thought I'd use the recline feature, but it's great for a little baby - again, not as a feeding chair since a baby that young doesn't need solids, but just as a way to sit with the family at the table. The tray is large, unlatches with one hand, and stays level while the seat reclines.
