Wize Buying Guide for Bathrooms

There's nothing worse than stepping out of a hot shower and into a cold bathroom. If you want to make your bathroom more comfortable in the chilly winter months, consider a bathroom heater. You can find just the right one within your budget, we promise! Here are a few things to consider.

If your bathroom is small, look for a compact unit that will optimize your space. Technology is changing and most smaller units will still provide powerful heat for your bathroom. However, if you have a larger bathroom, a more conventional radiator heater will give you better performance over a wider area.

There are basically two types of heating elements for bathroom heaters: ceramic and oil filled. A ceramic heater will heat up rapidly, and your bathroom will be warm in seconds. If you don't like to think ahead or want a toasty bathroom in a pinch, this might be the model for you. However, an oil-filled bathrooom heater will conserve heat better than a ceramic heater, so it will stay warmer for longer, even after you shut it off.

Most bathroom heaters are electric, so keep in mind that a ceramic heating element will use much more electricity than an oil-filled model. Sometimes a higher electric bill can make or break your budget in a cold winter, so budget wisely, even if it means paying more up-front for a better, more energy-efficient heater.
