it not only looks great, but keeps the gas furnace from kicking on when i set the thermostat to 60 degrees.
it can be set on hi (1500w) or low (900w) or auto (thermostat controlled).
with the thermostat it would come on just when needed to maintain the temperature.
well, if the heater is really cold it does make a few popping noises when it starts heating up (which go away once it's warm) and there is a quiet clicking noise from the thermostat when the heater
it works with a thermostat and if left "on" at the comfort level you desire you practically never have to touch the heater again, unless the weather gets extremely cold in which case you would turn
i especially like the tradition with this product for solid construction, absolutely quiet operation at any temperature, and efficient radiant heat that easily adjusts to changing weather conditions.
i now use just the thermostat and it keeps this room nice and toasty.
it keeps the room where i use it warm, and my oil heating bill is lower because i keep it near the thermostat.
we keep it on a lower setting (1 '750w'/ 2 or 3 thermostat) and our small living room is more comfortable than we imagined possible.
i find the dial controls totally sufficient; when the room heats to your liking, you just turn the thermostat a bit and the heater holds that temp in the room.
the heater warms up quickly and enables us to keep the room comfortable even when the temperature outside is in the 20s.
it heats up my living room (about22x22) in about 5 hours although i keep my home temperature at 67f.
the thermostatic control allows you to make fine adjustments so that with the two levels of power that the unit offers, it's fairly economical to operate.

yes, the thermostat doesn't quite regulate as well as the product description claims.
only downside was that it was slightly narrower than the manual thermostat that it replaced and required a little touchup painting.
i purchased this thermostat to control a cadet 63314 heater i installed in a cold bathroom in our house.
it heats up quick, and shuts down right when it reaches the preferred temperature.
only thing i wish it had was a digital thermostatic control, but after a couple days of fiddling, you get just the right temperature and can leave it there, tweaking it if necessary.
the lowest temperature in which it operated was 25 degrees.
if during the night the temperatures drop to the uncomfortable point, it doesn't take much to reach over and fire it up again for a little while.
i tried to get a top of the line sleeping bag with temperature at 15f and it didn't work.
next time we'll probably pack an alarm clock and plan on waking up to change canisters to stay on top of the temperature.
the temperature was dropped to 35 some degree.
it heats up the room quickly and i like that there is a thermostat.
it can be set on hi or lo or on a specific temperature between 65 to 80.i especially like the safety feature that turns the unit off if it should tip over.
at the desired temperature like 70 degrees (i tried only at 65 and 70 degrees), automatic shutdown doesn't work and i had to get up in the night to turnoff the heater because the room was too hot.
the temperature control is so-called "one-button" control.
it does not have any temperature regulation, it's either on low or high or fan, so don't expect to set a temperature like 65 degrees and then walk away and have it regulate the temperature in the room
because of limited space a wood stove was out of the question, so i gave this unit a try; it's more than adequate (i live in maine) to maintain comfortable working temperatures even on the coldest of
in the first hour it raised the temperature from 43 to 55 degrees (f).

i selected this heater since it had a thermostat you could set, timer of 1, 2, 4 or 8 hour runs, and an energy saver mode button that has the heater run at 900 watts versus 1500 watts.
love the digital thermostat that shuts it off when the desired temp is reached.
temp control thermostat, 1-2-4-8 hour timer, oscilation, and energy saver mode.
the thermostat is not all that accurate, but keeps the temp within a few degrees of the setting.

i use this heater often when i'm sitting at my computer or watching tv because the baseboard heaters in my apartment take forever to heat up if they are turned off and don't regulate the temperature
i've already turned down the household thermostat and i'm on my way to saving money by using this comfy little heater.
i have had to turn it on or off myself though, as i really doubt the "thermostat" really should be called that.
the thermostat doesn't wrok very well because it has to heat up a lot before it shuts off, then cool down a lot to come back on.
and, it doesn't require a lot of time to bring a mid-size room to a desired temperature.
can heat up small rooms but the thermostat cannot mantain the temperature.
moreover, i don't believe the "thermostat" works at all.
the outside temperature is 40° and my room is a very comfortable 70° and i will now set the heater to low setting.

great control features, too...and a the temp readings and thermostat seem accurate.
my furnace does not run during the day (yes, i've turned the thermostat down).
i liked the thermostat, high and low settings, and the additional fan setting (to use in the summer or just when i want a bit of white noise at night to drown out the neighbors).
the operation is quiet, it can be thermostatically set, and it is easily portable.
also i rather have a digital temperature on it but there is still a temp dial on it where it turns off when it reaches certain degrees.

i've had it on the highest temperature and the "high" fan setting for about 2 hours, and it is quite warm now, like nap-time warm.
thermostat dial is nice: 2 heat-fan speeds, a separate fan-only speed, plus an off setting.
this heater is incredible and keeps the whole room warm (and i tried several before getting this one.) not only is it lightweight and very quiet, but in addition to having "high", "low" and "fan
what's great about it:?safe; heats the room to a comfortable level and the thermostat works great
not sure why everybody else has had problems maybe i'm lucky, but for me product is great would recommend, has a built in thermostat which is nice.
cons: thermostat is hard to regulate, motion sensor is slow
