i rent a house with oil heat and am trying to cut down on heating costs by diversifying my heating options and this heater works very well by heating up the room quickly.
it is quiet too.
the only thing that kept me from buying it first was cost and the fact that it had no ceramic element which theoretically was a safer element than an electric coil.
after dealing with cheap chinese made often unsafe heaters from big box stores, i selected this vornado heater due to its features.
i have it plugged into a heavy duty timer rated for 1875 watts.
this heater is solid with tower and baseboard position options; even in the upright position it's solid, which is good since it does not have a automatic shut-off if it gets tipped over although it
i got my first delonghi mch710t heater from another website and was very impressed with it's performance and value.
i bought this heater on a friday sale so i got a good price on it.
this isn't a cheap small heater like the 2 dozen at walmart.
i got this unit at a very good price because it was featured in a friday sale.
the house, you have to install it per instructions so the heater locks into the outlet and does not fall off the wall where it could fall into a sink, tub, shower or toilet and cause electric shock.
these energy saving heaters keeps our bathrooms, both of which have ceramic floors, toasty warm when we take a shower or bath.
they are a little noisy on high, but once the desired temperature is reached you can turn it down to a lower setting, and maintain the rooms temperature with less noise!!
this little heater is worth the money.compact and quiet with adjustable heating makes this the perfect bathroom accessory.
now it quietly holds the room at a comfortable temperature
what's great about it:?safe; heats the room to a comfortable level and the thermostat works great what's not so great:?nothing so far "i have had this unit for over a month now, after taking
not sure why everybody else has had problems maybe i'm lucky, but for me product is great would recommend, has a built in thermostat which is nice.
thermostat so it's not constantly running - will keep a room at your desired temperature
heats up the bedroom (15'x 10') pretty fast and it's very quiet.
this is one of the safest, and most effective space heaters i have used.
one of the key advantages of this heater over other fan-forced heaters is it's quiet factor.
we are very pleased at how well this heater warms the room and how quiet it is.
it has preset temperature settings starting from 60 up to 80 degrees fahrenheit in increments of 5, and automatically turns off and on when the setting has been reached or falls below respectively.
we have lowered our furnace temperature and now use the heater to keep individual rooms comfortable.
it has manual low, manual high, and thermostat temp auto settings,.
when we gather as a family to watch a movie, we can turn this heater on and it doesn't make any noise to disturb our movie.
only problem i see with this one is it might be a bit dangerous if a kid or someone accidently left clothes on top of it, but with almost any heater there are risks.
great product, works well, and most certainly warms a 500 sqaure foot room with no problems and silent, no noise!
sent it back after poor performance and this bought this one for under $50/beats the $300 heater by far/would highly recommend this heater and may buy 2nd for the another room/quiet and efficient!!
i first bought a $300 edenpure heater and sent it back after poor performance and this bought this one for under $50/beats the $300 heater by far/would highly recommend this heater and may buy 2nd
i bought this heater last year for the guest bathroom thinking it was inexpensive, and small.
the temperature control is a wonderful feature as well, we end up using this instead of our gas heat in the house (it ends up being cheaper).
the thermostat setting is great because i leave the unit running all the time at 65 degrees, then bring it up to 70 in the morning.
keeping the bathroom door shut with the heater on raises the room temperature approximately 5+ degrees within just a few minutes.
the front of the unit doesn't get much hotter than a tv digital box or a computer, and our cats can very safely lay in front of it without getting their fur burnt by the coils or grate (since it is
i would reccommend this prduct to anyone in need.it is also energy efficient and convenient and comfortable.thank you for your service.
even as paranoid as i am about space heaters these have proven to be safe.
i use the heater at work and it does it's job and warms up a desent size room (office/small lobby) i love that it oscillates and it has very powerful heat that blows out as soon as you turn it on.
however, with the thermastat on the heater, it won't overheat a room.
not only is it powerful but its very quiet.
overall, it's good heater to be used in the bedroom without any noise.
it was well worth the cost.
the heater also has a thermostat function.
it's lighter than larger heaters, and it has handles on both sides making it safe and easy to carry.
circuit city had the best price hands down for this heateri was also very suprised at the deliverytime.
"because it's quiet and has lots of hot air blowing!" price at lowe's was $50.
some of the raters noted that it is noisy, or that it puts out too much airflow.
best heater i have ever had for my garage
i like the heater !
Since our local city government in Corpus Christi loves to raise our utility rates for gas every chance they get (even though the market price goes down) and the kilowatt per hour rate for electricity hovers around .15 in Corpus Christi (no kidding),...
Best space heater!
DeLonghi TRH0715 Oil Filled Radiator Heater.
The original heater that we wanted to purchase was in fact a discontinued DeLonghi and as we already had one DeLonghi heater, we thought we would be safe to purchase this one.
If you've got high ceilings or an area larger than 14x14 and expect this unit to heat, you're going to be disappointed.
the main feature that i like and appreciate is the automatic turn off if heater tips over.
super quiet and puts out good heat.
the other reviews worried me before i bought this heater, but i'm very happy with it especially for the price i paid ($19).
i can leave it on 24 hours a day if i have to (like when its 10 degrees out, like today) and it costs exactly 3 cents an hour to operate.
it is energy efficient supposedly at 400 and 800 watts....400 works all night in oscillation mode to keep my bedroom warm...but be forewarned also...there is no thermostat so it stays on.
the bottom line: buy it if you are looking for a heater, the price is higher then normal heaters, but its well worth it.
great product - thermostat of desired temperature and current temperature in the room as it increases to the desired temperature.
overall though, only buy this if you are truely a design freak, it is beautiful and the quality of the metal housing is well worth the price if you are willing to drop that much money on a heater to
the price is higher than average for this industry, but, i think this heater is worth it because of the "pros" i mentioned.
the max temperature you can go to is only 85 degrees but the old vortex is 90 degrees and i do notice a big difference in power as the older can make the room super hot in a short time but with this
i feel the heater is quiet, we use it all the time in our finished basement where we entertain often, the running of the heater has never interfered with conversations or anything that is going on.
picked this up a few weeks ago when it first showed up because my old space heater had a very noisy fan, and no thermostat for auto-shutoff.
no more worrying about the heater being left on while you're at work because it also has a overheat protection feature as well as a tip over feature.
i bought this heater two years ago and found it to be very energy efficient.
heats up the bathroom quickly, safe for the kids, great value for price and it looks good.
they say it's very economical to run (i'll see), but for the cost of about a quarter tank of oil - it's great!
it lacks the bell and whistle but is very inexpensive compared to other units.
in the morning it would take two or three hours to raise the temperature by 3 or 4 degrees.
quite a bit cheaper to run than my gas wall furnace and the flames look real enough.
the built in thermostat turned down to about 3/4 maximum maintains that temperature.
it actually heats the whole room quickly, and it's absolutely quiet!!
the thermostat and the remote control is also a wonderful asset.
another nice heat is a portable electric fireplace.
totally silent, digital temp display on heater easy to see in the dark.
it's totally silent, so it's perfect for the bedroom.
i use this unit mostly while sitting at my desk downstairs in the basement or watching tv.
i have not used the thermostat yet, so i don't know how well that works.
the only negative is that it's fairly noisy on the high setting.
after reading the reviews for this product and its low cost i purchased this heater to keep my bedroom warm during the mornings and evenings.
especially for the $50 price tag.
Unit seems to work well, beyond the fact that the thermostat is way off.
The thermostat worked accurate for me and I did not feel that it is off the scale.
The problems arise when you try to cool a room to a specific temperature, you can't do it!
The thermostat always had to be 10 degrees higher than the desired temperature.
as i said, otherwise seems fine: fairly quiet, compact, remote is a nice feature.
it is like a typical heater in a house where it gets the room to a certain temperature (based on the setting you choose) and it will turn on and off to maintain that temperature.
pros: heats well, dirt cheap, compact, 2 settings + heat dial.
pros: light weight, nice large control knobs, low price.
pros: it was cheap, it's small and easy to store
well now i am in a basement and i needed something that was bigger, so i picked this thing up at walmart.
i had a little mini space heater that cost less then $20 but i had to get rid of it.
one that oscillated, was the color i liked, has great airflow, it has the fan only function, a childproof turning knob which must be pressed down and turned in order to be turned on, the temperature
an hour later the temperature in my bathroom had not gone up and the heater wasn't even hot in the front where the hot air comes out.
i bought this to raise the temperature in a fairly large room by 3 or so degrees when it's very cold outside.
