I have a VW Pop Top Camper that it warms up quite nicely in about 3-5 min. The heater really needs a good case to protect it. I bought the soft-sided case that Coleman has for it but was not impressed. It will do but...it is too big for the heater. from Amazon.com I tried to get a top of the line sleeping bag with temperature at 15F and it didn't work. Even it's over 100 during the day, it's still chilly during the night. Finally, I got this ProCat. I doubted whether it will work or not. from Amazon.com Great little heater. Desesrt cold did not get to us with this heater on. ProCat gets warm quickly and stays warm until the fuel is gone. It is aabout a 6hour heater and it helps if your tent is good and warm on it's own but his heater does real well. from Amazon.com 4.) All in all, this ProCat Catalytic Propane Heater is a great heater. I called Coleman for assistance they were NOT helpful. The person at Coleman said they have received calls regarding a hot oil smell from the heater and said it was do to oil used in the manufacturing and I should run it in my garage for an hour to see if it would discontinue putting of an odor. from Amazon.com Ofcourse for cold night, I did have an experience once (when I camped at Shenandoah Valley in September 2006). The temperature was dropped to 35 some degree. The Procat has chance to test, I did, at first, a little bit confuse when start, but it turned out good, my tent was warm as I expected. I have a Coleman 8' X 8' dome tent that has the large screened sides that makes it difficult to seal and hold the heat in.
