This closet is on an external wall and underneath the hardwood floors is the dirt from the ground, not insulation, and all that cold air underneath seeps up through the floor and wall. I decided to install one of these heaters in the closet (120V version) and a few minutes after turning it on that closet was hot as a sauna! I will note that I'm using a standard Cadet thermostat that attaches to the end of the heater and just has the "HI" to "LO" dial settings.
