i do have my gas heater as a backup, but gas is very expensive, and it's cheaper to run electric heat. from Walmart.com yep it's a remote controlled space heater that really works, that and it's safe, not hot to the touch. from Walmart.com i use it instaled in the wall it was perfect no danger for the kids...!!! from Hechinger.com frequently shuts-off, sometimes after 15 mins, 1 hr and sometimes longer, too, even if the timer is off and did not reach the desired temperature yet. from Walmart.com i purchased this heater and within 2 days i noticed it would randomly shut down even though i wasn't using the timer or thermostat control.i contacted windchaser's warranty department by email and from Walmart.com i got 3 replacements for this and it never worked, thermostat is impossible, circulator works only occaisionally, timere is capricious-goes off at will, a bad deal for me. from Walmart.com it is not very energy efficient due to the fact the fan never shuts off. from Walmart.com this heater is a good product and does all it is designed for, but...once it reaches the desired temp setting, it shuts off and doesn't come back on when the temp drops below that set temp, like from Walmart.com it looks great and has some nice features like an led display and adjustable thermostat. from Amazon.com Defected item.
