I live in a 1924 flat in San Francisco: hdwd floors, lathe-and-plaster walls, NO insulation. It's usually about 80% humidity and 56 degrees -- winter or summer (our famous fog.) I tried radiant heat dishes, Bionaire oscillating heater, and the deLonghi oil radiator. The first two are useless -- the radiant heats anything that's RIGHT in front of it, but doesn't heat a room. from Acehardware.com Avg temp here for days is 50-70...but my flat office b.r, even on a day that's 70 it will be 58-60 degrees. This little heater is a powerhouse. I've tried parabolic "dish" heaters, oil-filled and Bionaire's oscillating tower fan heater.
