Works just fine. we heat a medium-size room and couldn't ask for a better product! from Amazon.com Be very careful with this product and do not leave it unattended. We purchased our Bionaire last December and, suddenly in the middle of February, it started smoking. from Amazon.com I needed a heater for our son's room which can get pretty cold in early hours in the morning (central heat is uneven). I have a BH3950-U that uses the dial controls, which is not precise enough to set temperature. from Amazon.com I was sent this device as a replacement when a Holmes heater I actually liked, the now-deleted HQH 306, began to malfunction on its low setting. This heater, in a cheesy plastic shell, is a useless little disaster. from Amazon.com I bought 2 digital Bionaires after Hurricane Katrina and oil prices went up , both units paid for themselves in the first 2 months. Those 2 units had remote controls and could only be set at 5 degree intervals 60 65 70 75 80. from Amazon.com This is a great product. But no more! from Amazon.com I bought this item thru Amazon and received it on 11/29/06 with its two wheels and rear axle (enclosed in Bionaire packaging) unmountable because they were the wrong size; as such the heater can't stand up and is unusable. I contacted Bionaire customer service and was told they are no longer manufacturing the item, dont have any parts for it and therefore would not honor the enclosed warranty which covers parts and service for 5 years telling I should get the wheels from Amazon?!!! from Amazon.com the big plus for us is that it heats completely silently and effectively by convection. from Amazon.com the best additional function is that it automatically shuts off if it falls or tips over. from Amazon.com
