I have a releatively well insulated home built in 1992, which came with a natural gas forced warm air central heating system. I live in Southern New England and my natural gas bills were between $125-$150 a month from Amazon.com I am going on my third season with this heater and it is serving me well. My parents always used a kerosene heater and now I use one myself. They are really great...don't let propaganists try to tell you they are "death traps." I have a 1200 sq ft row house built in 1949 and frequently use my kerosene heater all winter long to take some stress off my heating bill. from Amazon.com I purchased a KW-11 kerosene heater to supplement my home furnace as winter approached.
