Best Heart Rate Monitors for Chest Strap, Calorie Counter

before this product i purchased a heart rate monitor that was able to monitor one's heart rate without a chest strap, thinking that merely having a wrist watch would be less of an inconvenience.

i had no trouble at all with this product, it has been reliable and the chest strap is fairly comfortable to wear (i doubt that any of them feel like you aren't wearing one).

the chest strap is a little weird at first (as this is my first monitor), but you won't recognize it once you start working out.

it comes with a chest strap for the heart rate transmitter and the rest is basically a watch with the added function of indicating your heart rate.

important note to polar heart rate montior users: this unit will not work with the t31-coded chest strap!

strapless hrms are not able to provide continuous heart rate like those that require a chest strap...

mio watches are excellent because they're so easy to use, compared with using a cumbersome chest strap of other heart rate monitors.
