ease of use - it is very easy to get started with the product.
Pulse reading seems to vary by 15%-20% on successive reads.
I ordered this pulse ox for very occassional use.
The idea was that a finger pulse oximeter would help me to determine when my father needs additional oxygen.
The only setback is it will not pick up a readiing if the finger is cold.
I've also found this unit difficulty to use and unreliable.
As a heart and lung patient I have had the occasion to use many different pulse-oximeters.
Being a pilot, I would like to monitor my oxygen usage at high altitudes.
Coming from the medical field (R&D) and intimately familiar with Pulse Ox I am very pleased with its performance, insensitivity to motion artifact, size, battery life and price.
I use the portable handy small tools to help me get an idea understanding that this one was not approved for medical use.
so far though, the unit does what it claims to do and that is give me second by second heart rate information during my workouts.

the heart rate monitor will be picked up on the machines at the gym also displaying it there.

i just like to check my heart rate while exercising and have compared it when to other monitors, and it is accurate within one number.
i used it on several cardio machines in the gym and found that the hr was very similar, with in 2 beats, to the machines built in monitor.
