this are, without question, the most comfortable in-ear headphones i have ever worn.
that is what the klipsch image in ear monitors (iems) did for me.
i've tried a few different in ear monitors and i think both synthesizer and sony make great sets for really good prices, that compare very closely to these klipsh's.
i have listened to and owned many high-end headphones and in-ear monitors (earphones).
i'm no audiophile, but sound-wise, the custom-3 are by far the best iems i've ever owned (previously had the sony ex71, shure 210, ie hi.fi 5 eb, new apple in-ear amongst others).
these klipsch image s4 headphones are the best i've heard yet in a portable in-ear headphone,and i've owned lots of different brands over the years!!!
i love these in-ear phones, as they fit great and so comfortable in the ear, sound is so fabulous.
my only complaint is the tiny plastic case is a joke, but who needs a case for cheap in-ear phones.
these are the first pair of in ear headphones i have ever bought besides the headphones that came with my sony.
ear buds stay securely in ears and you can even sleep on your side with your ear on the pillow without noticing the earbuds.only missing feature is a volume control on the cord.

i have been using over-the-ear headphones because i could never find an in-ear pair that was 1)comfortable - i have small ear openings and 2)had a good bass response.
after doing a bit of research, i decided to buy these because i needed a good set of in-ear monitors that weren't the standard that came with any mp3 player.
the fit was comfortable and better than other in-ear earphones.
i've had other ue products in the past and by far this is the best universal fit in ear product they make.
i don't know how it compares to other mp3 players but i've been very satisfied with it so far and the stock in-ear phones that came with it sound very good!
so, you don't think that a set of in-ear monitors is worth nearly 400 usd?
i use in-ears for live monitors in my band.
not for everyone, only because some may find the "in-ear" design not comfortable over time.
great price on a great product- these cx-500 in-ear headphones deliver excellent sound quality and are extremely light weight, so using them for workouts is perfect.
also, many of the in-ear headphone that create a seal will create some level of cable noise when moving.
the sound from the cx 500-b in-ear headphones is very clear, highs are high, lows are low, and the middle range is not overshadowed.
i am very happy with these in-ear monitors.

for in ear headphones people complain about cable noise when moving around, i find i hear none unless you flick the cable and it has to be pretty up high near the actual speaker.
it took 2 hours at most to get used to the weird feeling of in-ear headphones.
the in ear headphones are my favorite.
also, though i've had other in-ear buds, these form such a suction that as you walk you hear the vibration of the wire against your clothing.
cord tangles you all up.the sound wasn't all that great when compared to the other in-ear buds that i got from sandisk.ended up returning it.
the denon ah-c551 in-ear headphones offer mostly great sound quality and a compact, understated design.
the three sizes of in-ear plugs helps so they do not fall out of my ears when i run.
while they aren't the best in-ear phones out there, they are solid in their price range.
i'm a drummer, and needed these to have as in-ear monitors onstage to catch the sequences/clicktracks/and vocals that we use--they aren't noise cancelling enough for this purpose.
