but over all, this dam thing stays in my ear and doesn't come off when i am running...i love it.
these fit my ears, stay in when exercising and they to some degree keep all other sound out.
they also worked great for other activities because they really stay in your ear, even in running (but they sometimes slipped out duringsprinting).
you can wear these for hours reading, running, or even riding fourwheelers without discomfort.
i'm constantly moving so having the long cord is so nice especially when i'm running.
it has a nice reflective band, and a nylon wire attached to main wire near the ear for a support when running.
had with them, which is more of a minor annoyance than an actual problem, is that the cord is so long that i sometimes get it caught on things like doorknobs or other objects when i'm walking around.
i use them for running (mainly outside) and i am glad they don't block 100% of the outside noisy.
(though i don't use them for jogging, they have an understated reflective material on the neckband as well.
i have a pair i keep at work, and another for working out or yardwork.
nothing is more annoying than when you get that perfect seal and then some joker walks up and starts talking to you.
i wouldn't want to wear these walking around on the street or in public, i'd prefer the images or some less isolating headphones.
the only downfall i can think of is, while walking, the cord will get pulled down and slightly pull them out of your ears, which will slightly decrease the amount of bass.
i was walking through the oakland airport and spotted these in an electronics kiosk.
fit inside the ear canal and muffle all but the loudest outside noise therefore making them an excellent 'at home' listening option but probably not recommended while driving or even walking.
with the memory foam tips, these stay in my ears whether i'm working out, doing housework or in my helmet when i'm snowmobiling.
everyday i walk a couple of blocks alongside traffic moving about 35 mph.
you can walk by people and never hear a word.
either the sound was subpar, the buds didn't fit well (often would fall out while i was working out), or the quality was cheap (the earphone wires degraded).
i use them at work, when my boss walks over to my cube i see his mouth moving but hear nothing.
with the aurvana's, people could walk up beside me, and i'd never know.
very good for isolating oneself from distractions and, therefore, no good for use while walking or jogging.
good, clear sound, good bass and they will not fall out of your ears when you jog.
the also get louder at lower volume levels - very clear sound - you can walk past a jackhammer and still hear your program.
these earbuds are far superior to the ones i was using which wouldn't stay in my ears well when i was walking.
i walked around town looking like a geek with duct-tapes trying to salvage my last earphone, an ep630.
i wanted to get something with excellent sound quality but didn't want to spend hundreds on earbuds as they tend to take some abuse (being hauled around in a pocket, worn while running and hiking,
if you like listening to music while you workout, i recommend these, although not for running (they fill with sweat real fast, and fall out a lot), and be careful with the chord.
variable size cord allows you to remove a section for running / exercising.
love the extension cord that comes with it - makes it very easy to use while exercising.
i wear them when running and working out in the gym and no issues with them slipping out of my ears.
i would not choose these for working out or jogging or other activities where there might be a lot of movement of the cable.
even when used while you are in gym, jogging etc., the earphones fit snugly and don't fall off easily unless, of course, the cable is pulled!
i wouldn't recommend them for working out.
on top of that, i haven't yet connected these to my receiver; i've only used a sony walkman cd player & a creative zen with a fiio e-5 headphone amp.
you won't see me walking around public with these on.
although they're a bit big on the head (probably wouldn't want to walk around in public with them on) they have a very nice (and different) design.
if you think the $15 headphones you bought as an upgrade to the freebies that came with your walkman/ipod sound good, prepare to be absolutely blown away.
if you move around, even a little bit, and especially if you're working out and your ears are getting sweaty, they tend to loosen in the canal and lose the fullness of their sound, and the noise
i use these in the gym -no issues, jogging or lifting -they stay put (mid-size gels).my reference in sound quality would be comparable to my koss (original) 'the plug' soft-foam ear-buds.
they dont come out at all while i'm running.
as a side note, i have worn these while working out (running, stair master, etc.) and although you can hear the cord hitting your chest, it's not an unbearable sound.
2) the noise that the rubber wire makes whenever i move - i try to hold onto the wires as i'm walking so it's not that bad but if these buds came with a clip that would eliminate this problem.
so i do not dare to wear it while walking, it too dangerous.
i bought these earphones for my every day walk to class.
being able to walk around cord free, you can't beat that.
great range as i can walk into the kitchen several rooms away from my bedroom with the headphones on and still listen to my show.
i have them running through a cheap $20 behringer ha400 headphone amp w/ 4 outputs (id recommend and amp for these to get the full effect).
the ath-m50 is very very balanced, and for my use, is coupled with a sony nwz-a818 walkman unamped.
these headphones also sound very well on my 8g walkman, without an amp.
they are very easy to drive and work well with my mp3 player (sony walkman) without an amp.
it's kind of dangerous walking around with this headphone on since it really does block out the ambience noise quite well.
i use them for exercising on an older and noisy schwinn airdyne, while mowing the lawn and even cutting firewood.
for working outside or walking etc, i must admit that the e-4 are best.
walking around the street and the quick bus/subway ride who cares but what about on a plane?
couch and drink a beer while listening to my home system, this is the first earbud-style headphone that i have been able to get sufficiently comfortable and snug to use while running or working out.
with the fakes, every time i exercised and the cord would bump me it was extremely loud and after this happened a couple of times during my first use, i stopped using them while working out (still
i paid around $50 for these (on amazon) i'm almost ready to buy another pair for my ipod (for working out)
took a walk with them today, and am totally impressed.
walking with these things could drive you nuts.
