They're inexpensive, comfortable and have a deep, clear sound that, from disappointed experience, more expensive in-ear headphones can't match. The set I currently use have an intermittently broken wire in one of the ear buds, so I went to WalMart to buy a replacement. They no longer stock the Philips units so I bought the JVC Marshmallow in-ear set. What a difference! from Amazon.com Honestly, don't waste your money. I gave mine to my girl friend who (don't tell her I said this) has HUGE ears and they fall out on her too when running. She now uses them to listen to class lectures on her laptop while I am watching tv. I'm sure if you're like most Americans and don't plan to run or jog they will be just fine for you. from Amazon.com I needed a replacement for my ipod earbuds after I put them through the washing machine and I need a replacement fast since I use them all day at work. I went to Walmart and saw a few models and these were Philips and said "Virtual Surround" so I got them. I use them almost solely at my desk and both have had one of the buds die for absolutely no reason at all. So I did not have to raise the volume on the player as much to reach the same volume using earbuds. I have replaced them twice with the same and after trying SHE592 and SHE591 models I suggest only purchasing this model (SHE5910). from Amazon.com I took them thinking I could use them when my earbuds eventually break, but found the same problem. No matter which size you choose, they do not fit comfortably or stay in your ears. How is it that Apple can design an earbud which fits most people comfortably, but that Philips can not? When i was at the store i didnt see any good options so i thought "it cant be that bad" even thou it is Philips. I have sensitive ears and listen to my music at low volumes, and many other ear buds I have tried have a quiet buzzing sound in the background. Nice product. from Amazon.com I was looking for another pair of inexpensive priced earphones until I finially decide on which set of high end headphones (Shure, Sennheiser, Ultrasone, Grado, AKG, Ultimate Ears, Klipsch or Etymotic) that I want to invest in. I chose the Philips SHE5910's based on the price ($14.99) and specs. Long story short, they sounded great for a budget price but fit terrible in my ears and I could never get them to stay in no matter how much adjusting I did. from Amazon.com However, if you listen to music as much for arrangements and production as for the lyrics, you may wish to stick to the Apple earbuds, despite their cheap construction, which brings us to the next criterion. Durability: I got these because my third pair of Apple earbuds conked out and I was tired of replacing them. Although I haven't owned these Philips earbuds long enough to tell yet, they seem better than the apple buds in at least one respect.
