My husband is hard of hearing,so we purchased the Sennheiser system for him. I also purchased the add on pair of headphones for myself. from Amazon.com I BOUGHT MY FIRST PAIR OF THESE RS-130'S ABOUT A YEAR AGO AND HAVE ENJOYED THEM SO MUCH. MY WIFE HAS TO GET UP FOR WORK AT 4:30AM SO I USE THEM EVERY NIGHT WHEN SHE GOES TO BED AND I STAY UP TO WATCH TV IN BED. from Amazon.com Excellent product. Better than audio from HDTV by 100%. Sennheiser RS 130 Wireless Surround Sound Headphones from Amazon.com And no, you don't even have to be on full volume to hear it, in fact, even if the volume is very low you can still hear it. Any movement of the head will also produce a noise signal which is added to the hiss. I own 3-4 Sennheiser products, I like their wired products a lot, but in this case, they failed, miserably. Other Thoughts: This is my third set of wireless headphones over the past decade. None of them have great wireless reception so don't expect much. from Newegg.com I've had my sennheiser (model 130) wireless headset for about a year and have been extrememly happy with it's performance (even bought my wife one for her TV) - they work fine, with the 3 audio channels - no overlap or bleed over. This purchase was for a replacement headset as my original headset was broken when it got caught between a rock and a hard place (it was dropped and them something real heavy fell on it). from Amazon.com Sweet deal, best headphones I've ever owned. I can basically walk all around my paper thin wall house all the way outside to the public sidewalk and still get decent reception (if not better outside). It can be plugged into mp3 players that receive FM signals, and you can basically get FM wirelessly and not even have to hold the mp3 player. I plugged it into the TV and now I have excellent stereo sourround sound. Also, if your wife does not like the program, you can turn the sound down on the TV and adjust the sound on the head phones. from Amazon.com But that's just me looking ridiculous, not so much the headphones. They just look big on me. Other Thoughts: Bought them elsewhere for cheaper (and refurbed), probably wouldn't spend $130 on them.
