THE STEREO REPRODUCTION FROM LOW TO HIGH-END AUDIO SYSTEMS IS OUT OF THIS WORLD. UNLIKE OTHER MADE HEADPHONES THAT REQUIRE LOADS OF PUBLICITY TO CELL THEM,THESE HEADPHONES REALLY WORK. IF YOU NEED SOME HEADPHONES THAT DO WHAT IT SAYS ON THE BOX THEN THE PXE450'S SHOULD BE AT THE TOP OF YOURE LIST,I'VE HAD MINE FOR OVER 18 MONTHS AND IN THAT TIME I'VE TRAVELLED TO THE STATES 3 TIMES AND MY 4TH TRIP IS IN A MONTHS TIME,MY 450'S ARE ALWAYS WITH ME. One small complaint is that on summer days in London the your ears will get pretty warm pretty quick. I have used my PXC450s for over 20 hours now and have noticed none of the common complaints #clicking etc# seen on other reviews. For me the fact that they can be used as normal headphones without requiring battery power makes then a clear winner over their nearest competitor, the Bose Quiet Conforts 3s. from Amazon.com Voices are naturally harder for the headphones to block out as they fluctuate so much. But constant noises, like the ridiculous noise my dual 4890 graphics cards make when cranked, are compensated for so that you barely notice them. Comfort: I've used many circumaural headphones and have never found any as comfortable for extended periods as these. The noise-canceling ability of the Sennheisers is better, but the sound quality is phenomenally better. from Amazon.com Build quality is excellent. They are super comfortable. Sound is very typically Sennheiser: Well Balanced and Highly Detailed. The low end is a little exaggerated at first, but after they burn in, they are perfect. from Amazon.com These (450) Sennheisers DO do a very good job of cancelling out sound, however, the low range is average at best, it eats battery even when unplugged from the source (clumsy engineering), and something in the right can is severely uncomfortable to wear. At times the pressure is not equal causing an imbalance perception. The major drawback of the 450 is that it has limited application.
