The JVC noise cancelling headphones really work at eliminating background noise and the sound quality is excellent. I could not justify the purchase of Bose as I no longer travel enough and didn't see it worth $300+, but after changing locations at work, I needed something to reduce distractions, so I began to shop for a comparable product that was more in my price range. from Amazon.com Noise reduction is fairly good on airplane, it eliminates the heavy engine drone. You can switch off the circuitry, and instantly hear the difference. Comes with a compact hard sided case.
